Wanessa Sarmento 

       I am passionate about the health sciences and I studied a lot to learn how to help people facing challenges with their health. ​

​

        I did a  Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics in Brazil, where I learned excellent clinical nutrition skills. I also completed a  Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences (The University of Auckland) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research (Victoria University of Wellington).  I also studied Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine and completed an Integrative Health and Medicine Specialisation with the University of Minnesota.

    I love working and studying and have working experience with Auckland and North Shore hospitals. I also have experience in clinical research and the private health system. Teaching is another passion of mine: I am actively tutoring undergraduate and postgraduate students; I tutored and marked for AUT and other educational institutions.

   I also love learning languages, I speak fluent English, Portuguese and Spanish. I also enjoy reading books, listening to podcasts, cooking, baking, practising yoga and training at the gym. 

​

    I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at a young age and I have now rehabilitated myself, lost 35kg without surgery, and withdrew from all prescribed medication. Now, I live a much happier life, engaging with my passions as well as taking time for self-care and spending time with my best people. 

 

    I am empathetic and a good listener, and I can always see the light at the end of the tunnel. I found the best version of myself. I am ready to guide you through the best, healthiest, and happiest version of yourself.
